Filter by process or certification. Ask for a type sample of any lot, or a firm offer for the bags you need.
No lot matches this filter right now. Ask us, new lots arrive every week in harvest season.
About pricing: commercial lots are priced as a differential to the ICE Arabica "C" market on the day of contract. Honey and natural micro lots are sold at a fixed price per kilogram. DP and TP mean double and triple hand-picked for defects.
Two harvests, plan around them.
Gayo has a main harvest from October to January and a second one from March to July. New crop usually ships one to two months after picking, once the beans are dried, hulled and graded.
Harvest windows as reported for the GARMINDO cooperative, Bener Meriah.

Why Gayo looks blue-green.
In wet-hulling, the parchment is removed while the bean is still moist, then dried on patios. That gives Gayo its bluish colour and its heavy, earthy cup.
What Grade 1 means in Indonesia.
Indonesian green coffee is graded under SNI 01-2907-2008 by counting defect values in a 300 g sample. Grade 1 allows 11 or fewer. Moisture must stay at 12.5% or below.
Defect bands from SNI 01-2907-2008. Score ranges are typical market pairings, not part of the standard.
| SNI grade | Defects per 300 g | Typical SCA score |
|---|---|---|
| Grade 1 | 11 or less | 82 to 88 |
| Grade 2 | 12 to 25 | 79 to 81 |
| Grade 3 | 26 to 44 | below 79 |
| Grade 4 | 45 to 80 | commercial |
| Grade 5 | 81 to 150 | commercial |
| Grade 6 | 151 to 225 | commercial |

Questions buyers ask first.
Can I buy less than a container?
Yes, micro lots ship in 30 kg vacuum boxes by air or consolidated sea freight. For 60 kg bags, the practical minimum is one 20ft container, which two lots can share.
Are your lots Fairtrade or Organic certified?
Some are, through our partner cooperatives, and the offer list marks which ones. Certificates are sent with the offer so you can check them before signing.
Why is Gayo wet-hulled instead of washed?
Wet-hulling lets farmers in a humid climate dry coffee faster and sell it sooner. It is the traditional Sumatran method and gives the heavy body buyers expect. We also offer fully washed, honey and natural lots.
What if the arrival quality does not match?
The approved pre-shipment sample is the reference. If arrival quality falls outside the agreed specification, we settle by price adjustment or replacement, as written in the contract.
